Christmas Best Dressed

Christmas season is deeply cherished by the both of us. Towards the end of each November, we will excitedly dig deep into our storeroom and pull out our Christmas tree, wreath and other ornaments to give our cozy cove the Christmas-sy feel....

That gave me the boost to channel my energy in doing up Kevin's place of rest for Christmas. I had some good ideas from Siang, Lynette and William (who was in Singapore that weekend) at decorative shop.

Thank The Lord for holding up the weather for us while the 4 of us quickly set down to work hoping the slight drizzle will not turn into a downpour. It certainly gave all of us a sense of fulfillment and joy when we stood back to admire our handiwork.

Smiling, we all agreed Kevin's place is definitely the BEST DRESSED!

Close At Heart

So quickly has Kevin's 1 month anniversary come to pass yet so many things feels unchanged. Many a times I turn around expecting myself to hold his hand or to tell him something funny had happened at work.

Walking the route we always took after our daily dinners without the assuring figure beside me makes me yearn badly to hold his hand which I now hold in my heart. I will always remember the security his big hand provides.

As how he always puts it to me, the sun will still rise and shine the next day and life has to go on. Slowly as the days go by, more tears are replaced with more smiles each time I think about him and when I go through our happy photos.

I am truly happy for him having found eternal rest and I strive to grieve less and spend more time bringing joy and company to all around me.
